Contract iOS Developer
Build native Swift apps for Nexus Cognitive’s cloud data and AI platform as a contract iOS Developer. Take features from design through App Store release, then monitor them after launch.

- Lead iOS features from design handoff through development, testing, and release.
- Build and maintain native iOS applications with Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
- Translate Figma designs into polished, accessible interfaces with accurate layouts.
- Connect REST and GraphQL APIs, handling authentication, errors, caching, and offline use.
- Work with backend engineers on API contracts and test endpoints with Postman or Charles Proxy.
- Create unit and UI tests with XCTest while keeping the codebase modular and well structured.
- Configure code signing, certificates, provisioning profiles, and Xcode builds.
- Manage QA, UAT, and production builds through Xcode schemes and build configurations.
- Distribute builds through App Store Connect, run TestFlight betas, and respond to tester feedback.
- Create App Store listings and handle submissions, App Review, production releases, and phased rollouts.
- Track crashes and performance after launch with Instruments, Crashlytics, or Sentry.
- Work with backend, Android, design, and QA colleagues in an Agile setting.

- Bring at least six years of professional iOS development experience, including an app released on the App Store.
- Have hands-on experience taking apps from design to deployment, including TestFlight distribution and App Store submission.
- Demonstrate experience integrating REST APIs into iOS apps with URLSession or Alamofire and parsing JSON with Codable.
- Be highly proficient in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
- Understand iOS architecture approaches such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or TCA.
- Have experience with Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, and Core Data or SwiftData.
- Know Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and accessibility standards.
- Have used Xcode, Swift Package Manager, and Git repositories hosted on Azure DevOps.
- Preferred: Experience with mobile CI/CD tools such as Xcode Cloud, Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions.
- Preferred: Knowledge of push notifications, in-app purchases, widgets, or App Clips.
- Preferred: Experience working with Objective-C codebases.
- Preferred: Familiarity with analytics, feature flags, and A/B testing.
- Preferred: Contributions to open-source Swift projects or a strong app portfolio.
- Preferred: Familiarity with .NET 8 APIs and PostgreSQL.
